Wisdom From Steven P. Jobs

Steven P. Jobs, interviewed by Daniel Morrow in 1995:

The unions are the worst thing that ever happened to education because it’s not a meritocracy. It turns into a bureaucracy, which is exactly what has happened. The teachers can’t teach and administrators run the place and nobody can be fired. It’s terrible.

Great interview, it’s definitely worth a read. I always thought Jobs was a Liberal because that’s what I was told. I’m sure he was in some respects, but he covers some pretty major issues in this interview and is mostly conservative. How delightful.
